Sam Zalowitz has served Memphis and the adjacent areas since 1975. He founded his company Samuel J. Zalowitz, CCIM in 2002. Sam obtained his initial training with Cross Country Realty. He advanced to BELZ ENTERPRISES where he was responsible for leasing all shopping centers, office buildings and warehouses that the firm owned. In addition, Sam was responsible for leasing retail spaces on the ground floor of the PEABODY HOTEL.
After 13 years with Belz, Sam created his own firm in 1989 named AMPCO (American Properties Company), where Sam was responsible for the management of over 500,0000sq. ft. of class-A office space in both the Downtown and Mid-Town areas of Memphis. Sam assisted clients with the development of the ONE MEMPHIS PLACE office building downtown. In addition, he was responsible for seven shopping Centers around Memphis for BENNETT YORK ENTERPRISES.
BARBEE & ASSOCIATES hired Sam to develop their Commercial Investment Brokerage Division and assist in the development of SOUTHWINDS SHOPPING CENTER in Germantown.
A year later a well-known Memphis residential developer, GRANT & CO hired Sam to develop a Commercial Investment Brokerage Division. After six years with Grant, Sam chose to assist CRYE-LEIKE in expanding their Property Management department into the Commercial Investment arena. After six years, in 2006 he decides once again to begin his own firm, Zalowitz Commercial Realty.
At that time, Ryan Edwards and Dr. Bennett Rudorfer asked Sam to partner with them in the creation of a property management firm named EZR Management LLC. Within the year, MARCUS & MILLICHAP, a national Real Estate Investment firm ask him to join them in the creation and management of their new Memphis Office. In 2008 Sam decided to refocus on his business and the Memphis Market, handling their client’s leasing, management, investing and disposition; realizing his ultimate dream.
The company has two agents in the office. Our expertise is in sales, leasing, and management of retail, office and industrial properties.
